I'll start, but without much detail I'm afraid.

I like Vintage Guitar the most. It's a fast read, but I get a lot out of every issue. I really like the "retro" reviews they do on older amps
and guitars.

I get Guitar Player, now, and I used to get this when I was a kid. But I've never been 100% happy with it. For me, it's a slog to get through every
issue. I try and read everything, but there's just too much there! And I can read music, barely, so I usually just skip that stuff.

I read one Premier Guitar in the last few months. I really liked this one. Easier, faster read than GP for me. When my GP subscription is up, I might switch
to this one.

The one problem I have with GP, is that I'm not so much into reading a magazine for how to play better. I read mags like this to read about the history
and people attached to the history of axes and amps. Does that make sense? The reason why I like...

I was at Eric Schoenberg's store the other day, and this little all-hog guitar caught my eye. I have a thing for smallish all-mahogany guitars, so
naturally I was drawn to this little guitar's looks. (The picture at their website doesn't do it justice; it looks much better in person). It plays and sounds great. I also was pleasantly surprised with it's price tag. I've never owned
a Guild, but I'd certainly consider this.

as well.
*Note* This guitar is NOT for sale, but it is an example of my father's fine craftsmanship. He builds custom guitars in Arizona and his skill is truly
second to none. Along with the unmatched quality, he offers custom jobs for considerably less than any other guitar builder of this caliber. I figured I'd
post an example of his fine work in various places and hopefully something will come of it. I am working on creating an online gallery or website featuring
more of his work, but he's in Arizona so for now these pictures will have to do.

Here's a run-down of the specs:

*25" scale neck w/24 frets, ebony fret board and "shark tooth" inlays

This post was submitted at the Unofficial Martin Guitar Forum (UMGF), and is something that I thought should be passed along here. I was a recent victim of a
high-dollar vintage instrument being returned to the dealer which was damaged during shipment. Although it was insured for the full purchase price,
there's no guarantee that FedEx's inspectors (who work for FedEx) will find in my favor. Only time will tell. In the mean time, take note:

Shipping valuable instruments--the insurer's perspective:
Those of us who insure with Heritage got an email newsletter from them
this week. Here's advice they had about shipping musical instruments. They want to cut claims, but we want to avoid having to make them ourselves and avoid
having our premiums go up to pay others' claims, so I think that the company's and our interests line up pretty well. Sorry for the spacing and
