NOTE: If you are using Safari, there are issues with
posting on all yuku forums, including this one! It is advised that you use Firefox as an alternative.

To create a new post, you must first be a member of this forum. (Please see the FAQ entry on becoming a new member).

Once you are a member, first note that the forum is divided into sections. In general, your posting is likely to fall under two sections:

1. Swap Shop - for posting items for sale or trade, or to post any item that is lost or stolen.
2. The Watering Hole - where you can shoot the breeze with other fellow members.

Within each sections, there will be more specific areas, called forums, in which to choose to place your post. To place a post:

It's been pointed out that many of the advanced posting features do not render correctly in Apple's Safari browser.
This is an issue with yuku. If you are using a Mac, to access the advanced icon feature set, it is highly-recommended that you use Firefox.

Posting pictures within your new topics (posts) can be confusing, to say the least. You must first create an Album, and upload any pictures into this album.
To do so, follow these steps:

1. Click on "Images", located at the top of page, in the thin blue header strip. This will bring you to a new page called "My Images.
2. Click on "Create New Album".
3. Fill in the appropriate boxes (name of album, description, etc.). For example, you can call your album where you store pics of items that you may be
selling: "For Sale". Don't forget to press the Submit button.
4. Once your Album is created, you should...

A: As a source of revenue, in order to provide for free hosting of communities like this one, Yuku populates each forum with advertisements that they deem
appropriate. When a new community/forum is formed, Yuku allows a 30-day grace period before they start to incorporate these ads. However, they do allow a
community to obtain "Gold Ad-Free" status by accepting a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual fee.
