I was lucky, the Vicky came with the new reissue Jensen P10's. I tore the amp apart soon after it arrived to see what made it tick. It's built very
nice and of course the circuit is extremely simply. I had a handful of NOS tubes, so I did a lot of experimenting myself. I'm not sure exactly how I left
it, but it sounds very open and warm at all volume levels.
I hear that all speakers do have a break in period, so that could be a good part of the warmth associated with the real '59's. Those are sweet...

I played a few Victorias and liked them a lot. A friend of mine own's a 35115, which is a '59 Pro copy. I own a real '59 Pro and there was
something missing. The Victoria sounded somewhat stiff, we installed an old 50's Jensen P15N , NOS tubes. After that it sounded great, very close to my
Pro. I could be very happy with a Victoria, I would love to try one of their new Gibson replicas.

Hi 00045,

That's a good question. I can only think of one way to find out. Unfortunately I don't have a vintage Fender tweed to use to compare them. I did play
through an original '59 Bassman prior to buying my Victoria 35310. This was many years ago, so I don't remembe the exact sound of the Fender. I do
rememeber that it was really beat up and expensive and I was concerned as to how much life was left in the old girl. Soon after I found Victorias's version
of the Bassman in a shop, played through that and decided to buy the lower wattage version that was closer to a Bandmaster.
It sounds absolutely perfect to my ears and for my guitars, so I no longer search for, or even pay much attention to amps.
Oh, I did play through Tricone's Clark. It sounded great! Very much like my Victoria, only smaller sounding with the lower wattage amp, one speaker, and
smaller pine cabinet. It still allowed a Tele to sound like a Tele...

I have a Clark Beaufort (Deluxe) and a Victoria 5112 (Champ). I suppose that I'd be comparing the 5F1 circuitry to a that of a 5E3. That probably is not
apples to apples. The Clark is new, and I haven't had a chance to put it through its paces, let alone compare the two. However, I did play the Clark
briefly, and it does sound sweet.
