To create a new post, you must first be a member of this forum. (Please see the FAQ entry on becoming a new member).
Once you are a member, first note that the forum is divided into sections. In general, your posting is likely to fall under two sections:
1. Swap Shop - for posting items for sale or trade, or to post any item that is lost or stolen.
2. The Watering Hole - where you can shoot the breeze with other fellow members.
Within each sections, there will be more specific areas, called forums, in which to choose to place your post. To place a post:
1. Click on the appropriate forum. For example, if you like to post an electric guitar for sale/trade, you'd click on "Electric Guitar Swap". You will then be taken to another page where you will find other posts or "threads".
2. Click on "New Topic", which is located near the upper right corner of the page. A new page will load, containing a "Posting Box", where you can enter text, place pictures, place hyperlinks to other websites, or even insert flash.
3. Be sure to also name your new post by filling-in the "Title" box.
4. When your post is completed, decide whether you want to check the box "Subscribe to this topic." By checking this box, it ensures that you will receive an email notification whenever someone responds to your post.
5. To complete your new topic and actually have it post to the forum, don't forget to press the "Post" button near the lower left. You can preview your post to see how it will appear by using the "Preview" button.
