I had this sitting around to put into an acoustic, having used one of these models in another guitar for 25 years or so. It is THE BEST pickup for acoustics playing in LOUD settings. I used my old one in a D-28 which I played in a series of loud country bands, running it through an amp alternately with my Strat.

This pickup requires professional installation in slightly widening the saddle slot, but it is unquestionably the best if you are playing in loud settings. I am not playing that style any more, so I never put the new pickup in another guitar as planned.
