Amp kits? |
Lead | ||
|
I'm thinking of building my own guitar amp. Any recommendations as to where to source kits?

I hear good things about the marsh stuff as well. Mind you, I'm not an amp builder, but I've heard good stuff about them from folks who do build them.

You also should check Mojo Musical Supply. They have a good reputation and plenty of kits. I buy various parts and bits there, but have never ventured into
actually building an amp.
If you are thinking of staying local with Torres, you might do some research first. There are a lot of very strong opinions, on both sides, as to Torres' kits and quality.

Unless you are building it because you WANT to twiddle ( like... ehh ... knitting) you will be throwing your money away as it will have little to zero value IF
you decide you want to sell it. It will be a work "of love" that has only value ( SENTIMENTAL AT THAT) for you . Nobody else sees it that way. Let me
be a little more brutal... stick with the proven and well known manufacturers and forget anything else... unless ... eh... you like to eh ... knit. Just my 2
cents...ehhh... 3 cents... I guess.
